A key member of the Learning Development Officer (LO) Grade, the Senior Learning and Development Officers will support the Principal Learning and Development Officer, and Director of Capacity Building at the Capacity Building Division. /ppAs with all roles in BCI, this is a voluntary unpaid role. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliTo support the identification of learning and training needs across the Institute; /liliTo assist with the curating and/or creating of learning and training opportunities for the volunteers; /liliTo assist in the design and creation of modules for the Internal Learning Hub; /liliTo deliver training initiatives to fulfil the training needs identified within the skills and competencies framework; /liliTo administer evaluations of the effectiveness and efficacy of current and future learning and training sessions, courses and resources; /liliTo provide regular administrative support for the learning and development functions; /liliTo assist in the coordination of BCI learning and training sessions; /liliTo support with general resource management duties. /li /ulh3Requirements /h3h3Skills Abilities /h3ulliExcellent oral communication skills, including the ability to develop effective working relationships, work flexibly across professional and operational boundaries, and communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders at all levels; /liliExcellent organizational skills and ability to balance competing demands under pressure. /li /ulh3General Specialist Knowledge /h3ulliProficiency in the use of Microsoft Office; /liliStrong interest in topics central to the BCI, such as climate change, climate finance, and blockchain technology; /liliThorough grasp of adult learning theories; /liliStrong command of instructional design models and digital learning theories; /liliKnowledge of ‘Mamba Mentality’, technostress and workplace wellbeing, or a willingness to specialise in these areas, is highly desirable. /li /ulh3Education Training /h3ulliA degree or professional training in Coaching, Learning and Development, Online Learning, and Business; /liliAdditional knowledge about Climate Change or Environmental Science is preferable. /liliProven ability in organization/business administration; /liliExperience working in a target-driven role; /liliProven ability to coordinate and develop strategies in an environment-related organization(s); /liliExperience in building constructive relationships with stakeholders; and /liliExperience in working independently and with teams to drive forward projects using one's own initiative. /li /ulh3What difference will you make? /h3pClimate change and sustainability are two hot topic groups that have been headlining media outlets, dominating conferences events, and gaining increasing traction in research and pilot projects.
