Solar Project Developer – Latin America Upside is an emerging renewables developer with a portfolio of +6 GW in Brazil and Colombia. We are building our team in Latin America and are currently looking for a  Solar Project Developer – Latin America The successful candidate could be based in any of the countries where we are present: Spain, Brazil, Colombia, UK What You Will Do Originates solar PV projects opportunities in Brazil, Colombia, Rest of Latam, Spain & Portugal, both ‘greenfield’ and ‘brownfield’. Analyses solar projects (including Due Diligence and commercial negotiations), secures internal approvals, and leads M&A process to acquire them. Sources, structures, and negotiates co-development agreements with local developers. Drives development & permitting process of projects to ensure a timely RTB (Ready-to-Build) or COD status. Manages relationship (including contractual obligations) with co-development partners, environmental and engineering contractors, consultants, etc. Provides environmental and regulatory issues expertise when necessary. Manages relationship with external stakeholders (e.g. municipalities, DNO, REE, regional bodies). Coordinates internal teams, e.g., legal, engineering. What You Bring At least 7 years of experience in development of renewable energy projects in Europe or Latin America and other locations globally. Deep knowledge of site-securing, interconnection and permitting processes of renewable projects. Extensive knowledge and experience on environmental issues. Experience in renewable project acquisition transactions (e.g. NDA, LOI, HoT, NBO, BO, SPAs, etc.) Good understanding of financial modelling, experience with PPAs is a plus. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability as to team-coordination. Electrical Engineering background a plus University degree, MBA is a plus.
