We have installed product in more than 120 countries. Some of our installations in Europe are Piccadilly Circus in London, UK; the digital landmark display at Frankfurt airport, Germany; the Ströer roadside screens in Germany; and the Santiago Bernabéu stadium (Real Madrid) in Madrid, Spain. This opportunity is for a Sales Support position in our European region, with a specific focus on German and Spanish speaking countries. You will work with the sales and project management staff who are based remotely in their customers’ regional geography. We are looking for a highly driven individual with strong communication skills that can easily navigate through (IT) systems and quickly apprehends the complex nature of our business. You will be expected to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and act with the customer in mind while following Daktronics’ practices. Assist the sales and project management staff with presenting Daktronics’ solutions. This support may include: Assembling quotes, proposals, and other sales support materials in a timely and accurate manner. When projects are won, capturing all details from the order to hand it off to our manufacturing department. While performing this work, ensure that the right processes are followed and that all documents comply to our policies. Support our sales partners (i.e. resellers) to successfully realize their projects. This support may include: Interacting with partners to understand their needs and follow up on quote requests. Requesting pricing and assembling quotes. Proactively contacting partners for status on current leads and prospects for future opportunities. When projects are won, capturing all details from the order to hand it off to our manufacturing department. Providing order status updates. Assisting with accounts receivable by liaising with accounting department to generate invoices, sending invoices to partners and overseeing the timely collection of invoices. Managing partners’ price lists and special terms. Liaising with sales and project management staff to nurture the relationship with our partners. There will be some administrative tasks related to the entry into our various systems and databases. The overall processes of these tasks may be repetitive. Accuracy and attention-to-detail is very important to complete these tasks. Receptionist type duties such as taking inbound (customer) calls and reviewing scanned mail to distribute to appropriate people. Translate documents between English and German/Spanish or review translations performed by professional translator. Pro-actively seek for opportunities to improve our processes and support the efforts to get these implemented. Continuously learn about Daktronics products by attending internal product training. Perform other duties as assigned. What kind of environment will you work in? You will be based full-time in your home office in Germany or Spain. Preferred region would be Hamburg in Germany or Madrid and Valencia in Spain. At times, may travel to office in-region. Most of your workday will be spent working on your computer. Your Sales Coordinator peers are based in multiple locations across the globe, yet the team works together to complete the day’s priorities and deadlines. You will become part of a team that is approachable, team-oriented and has a high willingness to help. Communication with internal and external stakeholders happens in multiple ways: chat, (video-)conferencing, email, phone and in-person interactions. You will communicate in English, German, and Spanish (both verbal and written communication). Due to the nature of our small regional teams, there will be times that your flexibility is needed, and you will need to take action on items that are out of your normal scope of responsibilities or training scope. Travel will be limited and happen on a scheduled basis. You might attend selected regional meetings, conventions, or customer meetings. Participation may require weekend travel. Typical work hours range from 8:30 – 17:00 (CET) with some flexibility based on the team’s needs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required or pursuing. Degree in Business, Consumer Affairs, or related field preferred. Two years prior work experience with similar responsibilities desirable. Fluent in English, German, and Spanish - both written and verbal. Strong verbal and written communication skills: effective in a variety of settings: one-on-one, small and large groups or among diverse styles and position levels. Excellent computer skills and ability to learn and navigate new software and tools quickly. Productive work habits: ability to manage time and effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy to produce error-free work. Collaborate effectively as a team member, help when and where needed. Self-motivated and able to work independently with little supervision. Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
