To this end, we offer the position of Production Manager . MAIN FUNCTIONS The Production Manager is responsible for the establishment and the management of Basquevolt’s prototype manufacturing facility. The Production Manager will have the responsibility of cooperating on the definition of the manufacturing process for the prototype line as well as, establish priorities on it. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, s/he will be responsible for: Plan, organize, and coordinate the production activities of the battery manufacturing facility to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products. Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resources and minimizing costs. Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and throughput. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as R&D, Engineering, and Quality Assurance, to ensure seamless integration of processes and adherence to product specifications. Oversee the procurement of raw materials and equipment required for battery production, ensuring adequate inventory levels and timely availability. Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control measures to ensure a safe working environment and consistently high-quality products. Lead and supervise a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to maintain a motivated and skilled workforce. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze production data, and prepare regular reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement. Stay updated on the latest advancements in battery manufacturing technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements, and apply this knowledge to enhance production processes. The Production Manager is expected to work as a team member with other parts of the company and maintain in-depth relations with all members of the Operations team. Applicants should have a high degree of initiative, flexibility and should be open to intense interdisciplinary collaboration, first in an early-stage start-up but moving progressively to an efficient mid-size organisation. Specifically, we will assess expertise in the following aspects: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Proven experience of at least 5 years in production management in the battery manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of battery production processes, including assembly, testing, and quality control. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse production team. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders English mandatory. Spanish and other European languages would be an advance.
