Production Manager Description At our Guadalajara site in Spain, Cummins is building a new plant that will develop innovative Electrolyzer technologies that can generate hydrogen for various applications with zero emissions - contributing to a safe and healthy environment for future generations. We are looking for a talented Production Manager to join our team at our new plant in Guadalajara. Initially this role will be based at our offices in San Fernando de Henares. Once the plant will be opened this role will move to Guadalajara. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Provide manufacturing leadership for small or medium size plant, shift or department. Manages multiple shifts of an assembly line, fabrication or machining operation. Provides manufacturing leadership and improvement focus in operations driving results, creating and monitoring measures, providing motivation, and setting expectations in safety, quality, delivery and cost. Communicates with customers, suppliers, shop floor, stakeholders, and staff. Leads annual operating plan, forecasts, and other measurements for manufacturing operations. Manages, coaches, and develops staff; works with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning. To be successful in this role you will need the following: Significant level of relevant work experience, including managerial, leadership, and budgetary experience required Industry-related experience. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in spanish and english. Manage departmental performance through visual monitoring and KPI’s; provide regular progress reports to the plant Director Maintain a culture that prioritizes safety and quality through communication, action, and accountability; ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures. Relevant Egineering degree This position will initially be located between the Cummins Madrid office and the new Guadalajara facility. Once the Guadalajara facility is live, this position will be based from that location on an ongoing basis. During 2023, there will be travel requirements, primarily to the Oevel, Belgium facility. Travel requirement would be up to 25%. As of 2024 and onwards, travel requirement will be much reduced - less than 10%.
