Product Developer Apparel / Finished Clothing / Production ControllerMiista, with a Head Office in Galicia, Spain, is currently looking for an Apparel Product Developer with extensive experience in quality control, production management, and price negotiations, particularly in Knitwear, Denim, and Leather Accessories/Clothing. This role will focus on ensuring that designs in these categories are produced to desired specifications, quality, and price, while coordinating raw materials and the production critical path in a timely manner. The candidate will work closely with internal teams, including design, production, finance, and merchandising.The position requires traveling at least once a month to visit external suppliers in Spain and Portugal, overseeing sampling, price negotiations, testing, and fittings, in collaboration with our product and buying team in Galicia.Main Tasks and Responsibilities:Manage and control the Production Critical Path for the above Apparel Categories, ensuring key dates for checkpoints during the supply chain are followed.Manage pre-production fittings and design adjustments with external suppliers in Spain and Portugal.Support the design team during the design and development period of new collections.Act as the main communicator between Miista and external suppliers to ensure design ideas are realized as closely to the initial concept as possible.Develop and manage Technical Specifications (SPECS) of samples and production for different categories.Negotiate raw material prices with suppliers and ensure correct margins for each category without compromising quality.Manage raw material orders for sampling and production as required.Conduct quality control of materials and components received by external factories.Perform quality control within the production line of factories at least twice per season.Meet weekly with the team regarding sample approval status to maintain company time/action calendars for production.Special Requirements:Strong interest in premium products with attention to detail and quality.Understanding of the premium market and quality standards.A minimum of 5 years in a similar position.Good time management and highly organized.Problem-solving focused, proactive, and results-oriented.A strong team player and collaborative in an international team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
