Role: Product Design Lead – Design Systems

Client: Tech Agency

Location: Spain; must be able to spend time on-site in Madrid

Languages: Fluent English & Spanish

RTW: Candidate must have valid right to work in Spain

We’re working a global tech consultancy who are hiring for a hands-on Product Design Lead with significant Design Systems experience, as they grow their presence in Spain. One of their first hires within this space in this region, this is an opportunity for a someone who is an expert in their craft, but who aspires to grow and lead a team. Previous managerial experience is a plus but isn’t essential – great hands-on skills and stakeholder management, are.

This is a remote first-role but candidates but be based in Spain and be able to spend time on-site with clients in Madrid several times per month. All candidates must be fluent in both Spanish & English.

Essential skills/experience:

• Has led end-to-end Product Design project work and is comfortable leading workshops, gathering requirements, conducting user research, journey mapping & wireframing/prototyping, and crafting beautiful visual design
• Has significant design systems experience and build design systems from scratch
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills; skilled in building relationships, influencing and bringing people on-board
• Fluent in written & verbal communication in English & Spanish
• Based in Spain, able to spend minimum 2 days per month on-site in Madrid – ideally more

Desirable skills/experience:

• Has previously worked in an agency/consultancy environment
• Has managed multidisciplinary design teams previously
