Postdoctoral Researcher in Nano-Bio-Devices: The Smart Nano-Bio-Devices Group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to the development of self-propelled nanobots for translational applications in biomedicine.

Postdoctoral Researcher in Smart Nano-Bio-Devices

• Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher
• Research Area: Development of self-propelled nanobots for biomedicine within the ERC Consolidator Grant named iNanoSwarms.
• Location: Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), Barcelona, Spain
• PhD in pharmacy, chemistry, biotechnology, nanomedicine, biochemistry, or related fields .
• Experience in nanoparticle synthesis, functionalization, drug loading studies, and common characterization techniques.
• Strong publication record in nanomaterials, nanoparticles, and nanomedicine.
• Job Description:
• Synthesis, functionalization, and characterization of inorganic and/or organic nanocarriers.
• Design and optimization of drug loading processes for smart drug delivery systems.
• Evaluation of drug-loaded nanobots in different biological environments.
• Supervision of bachelor, master, and PhD students.
• Support the Group Leader in funding acquisition.
• Lead the sub-team on nanobots for nano-biomedicine.
• Collaborate with private foundations and companies.
• Develop new ideas for project evolution and intellectual property generation.

This postdoctoral position offers a full-time, 12-month contract starting in September/October 2024 at IBEC.
