Currently, we are supporting an international industrial group in the search for a Plant Manager to lead one of its manufacturing facilities located in Soria, Spain . This position reports directly to the Business Unit Manager and plays a key role in ensuring operational excellence, production performance and the continuous development of the plant organization.

Position Summary

The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall management of the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production operations, high product quality, cost control, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role leads plant personnel, optimizes operational performance, and drives continuous improvement to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, and logistics.
  • Ensure production targets are met in terms of volume, quality, cost, and delivery schedules.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop plant staff and department managers.
  • Monitor and control operating budgets, production costs, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Implement and promote continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Coordinate closely with supply chain, engineering, quality, and commercial teams.
  • Analyze production data and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Manage maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Culture of safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or MBA is considered an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
  • At least 3–5 years in a leadership role within a production environment.
  • Proven experience managing large teams and complex production processes.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial operations.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Financial skills and understanding.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Languages

  • Spanish: Native or fluent.
  • English: Professional proficiency preferred.
