About the Job:
- Planning Manager – EPC Oil & Gas / Petrochemical Sector
- A Coruña (Spain) / Construction site (Europe)
- At Wehunt, we are collaborating with a leading engineering and construction company, specialized in the development of large-scale industrial projects both nationally and internationally.
Mission:
- Planning, coordination, and control of the project schedule for an EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) project in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical sector.
- Responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the project schedule, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, internal procedures, and client expectations. The Planning Manager will act as a key interface between project management, engineering, procurement, construction teams, and subcontractors.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize the overall project schedule using Primavera P6.
- Ensure the integration and alignment of all disciplines (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning) within the project timeline.
- Monitor project progress, update schedules regularly, and report deviations or delays.
- Conduct critical path analysis, identify risks, and propose recovery actions.
- Prepare and deliver progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, and earned value metrics.
- Coordinate and review subcontractor schedules, integrating them into the master schedule.
- Participate in internal and client meetings, presenting time-related reports and forecasts.
- Support delay analysis and claim management if required.
- Ensure schedule compliance with contractual milestones and performance KPIs.
- Collaborate with the cost control and risk management teams to maintain alignment across project controls.
Requirements (M/F/D):
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in planning/scheduling roles within EPC projects in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sector.
- Proven experience as a Planning Manager on large international projects.
- Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 (mandatory).
- Familiar with project controls tools and techniques (Earned Value, S-curves, KPIs).
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
- High level of English (spoken and written).
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and international stakeholders.
- Availability to travel or be assigned to international construction sites, primarily in Europe.
