Overview Part-time Technical Officer in the Department of Ophthalmology, School of Clinical Medicine (HKU). Ref.: . One-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.brLocation: University of Hong Kong. Work type: Fractional / Part-time.brResponsibilities The appointee will provide support for laboratories, such as daily operations, emergency support, disestablishment of laboratories, establishment and development of a new research laboratory, procurement, event/project management, and other duties as assigned.brQualifications Bachelor’s degree or above with at least 2 years’ solid work experience, preferably in tertiary education institutions or other public organizations.brGood command of written and spoken Chinese and English (including Putonghua).brStrong sense of responsibility with good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.brSelf-motivated, attentive to details, capable of handling multiple tasks, and able to work independently and in a team.brExperience in procurement, basic research laboratory operations, new research laboratory establishment and development, and providing technical support regarding installation and maintenance for equipment would be an advantage.brBenefits A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits, if applicable.brApplication process The University only accepts online applications for the above post.
