Envision AESC is looking for a MEP Engineer Manager (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) to work on large scale ground-up Engineering-Procurement-Construction project that requires exceptional talent. The product portfolio is expanding with never-built-before production lines, and requirements demand cell production volume at a scale which was once thought to be impossible to reach. Responsibilities Support on engineering phase outcomes for MEP works Take responsibility for the design, installation, and maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a building Manage coordination of technical interfaces Monitors and report engineering productivity and progress Translate project and business needs into MEP works scope Help define clear objective and plan for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) to meet business needs Recommend best technology for meeting the project’s and business’ needs Helps define outside battery limit (OSBL) scope to meet business objectives Own and maintain engineering standards in MEP works Monitor compliance with quality and safety in design plans and take remediating action as needed Review Contractor’s proposed subcontractor(s) associated with the engineering works from a technical standpoint. Review Contractor’s mechanical services material proposals against specified technical performance requirements and advise the Project Director on the appropriateness of the recommendations. Provide oversight/ input into MEP works engineering design Help identify key project risks related to engineering – raise and help solve Provide guidance and oversight to functional area’s engineering team – track progress within area and remediate as/where needed MEP Engineer has to plan, organize the review and evaluate the work of consultants, contractors, and others Ensure Engineer MEP works area supports project objectives (e.g., VIPs, schedule, productivity, etc.); identify risks and potential mitigation plans In conjunction with the document controller, ensure that the filing/logging of the MEP documentation is undertaken in line with the project handbook and continually monitor the same Advise the Construction Engineering Director and Project Director of any technical aspects of the mechanical services that may affect construction progress, e.g., quality or snag Staff and manage the MEP works engineering team assigned Manage interface between PM consultants and Envision on technical issues Coach and mentor counterparts and subordinates on excellence in the construction industry Foster an innovative environment amongst your team’s and those within the EPC contractor to help AESC succeed in accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Graduate studies in project management or business will be valued Have at least 7 years of experience working for global leading companies in supervising and managing the design/engineering of large industrial projects ($100m+ capex) Advanced knowledge and proven delivery on Engineering for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing scopes Working knowledge of plans, prints, specifications, and schematics associated with trade Construction procedures and practices Excellent written and verbal communication in Spanish and English and, presentation skills are a must Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with challenging timelines, budget and goals Be capable of working in a close, multi-faceted team environment. Have an inquisitive and open attitude to exploring new ideas and willingness to continuously learn Ability to train and mentor colleagues on best practices for project management and execution
