Are you ready to lead a major transformation project within the finance function of a global industrial group? At Hays, we are seeking a Head of Accounting for a unique opportunity to combine project leadership with operational management in a dynamic international environment. Set up accounting operations in Bilbao for multiple European entities. Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring high-quality financial reporting under IFRS and local GAAP. You will report to the Finance Director and work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple countries. Lead the migration of accounting activities and build a high-performing team. Manage all accounting operations: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, fixed assets, bank accounts. Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS and local GAAP. Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. Qualified accountant equivalent or in France DESCF/DEC Proven experience in accounting operations transfer or Shared Service Center setup . Strong background in statutory reporting under IFRS and local GAAP (French GAAP is a must). Previous leadership experience managing accounting teams.
