Consumer Lending LegalTech / Legal Department Manager (Fintech)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the legal department with a strategic focus on consumer lending and asset-backed financing.
• Develop and implement legal policies aligned with local and international financial regulations.
• Advise on legal aspects of fintech activities, including regulatory compliance, data protection, and financial regulation.
• Manage contracts, commercial agreements, and legal documentation related to financial products and asset-backed loans.
• Coordinate with external advisors and regulatory authorities to ensure continuous compliance.
• Develop legal strategies for the expansion of financial products, including automotive financing.
• Supervise legal risks and propose innovative solutions to mitigate legal and regulatory contingencies.
• Implement new legal technologies to optimize internal processes.
• Stay up to date on regulatory changes that may impact the fintech’s activities and propose proactive actions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, with a specialization in Financial or Commercial Law.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal roles within fintech, banking, or the financial sector.
• Deep knowledge of financial regulation, data protection, and regulations applicable to asset-backed loans.
• Leadership skills to manage teams in dynamic and high-performance environments.
• Advanced proficiency in both English and Spanish.
• Negotiation skills and effective communication in complex legal contexts.
• Experience in contract management and legal documentation related to consumer lending.
• Proactivity, strategic thinking, and the ability to work as part of a team. Goal-oriented approach.
