With a focus on utility-scale solar PV, wind, and energy storage projects, it manages a diversified portfolio spanning multiple countries. /ppbr/ppMy client is seeking a skilled strongLegal Counsel /strong with a strong foundation in strongproject finance and power purchase agreements (PPAs) /strong. This role involves providing comprehensive legal support across financing transactions, energy infrastructure projects, and related commercial matters, while ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks and minimizing legal exposure. /ppbr/ppstrongKey Responsibilities /strong /pulliPrepare, review, and negotiate project finance documentation, including loan agreements, security arrangements, hedging instruments, and related commercial contracts. /liliHandle a variety of PPA-related documentation such as physical and virtual PPAs, tolling and route-to-market agreements, and market representation and balancing arrangements. /liliAdvise on banking, finance, and corporate law issues connected to project development and financing activities. /liliIdentify and mitigate legal and contractual risks in connection with financing structures, PPAs, and broader commercial dealings. /liliOversee and coordinate work with external legal advisers across multiple jurisdictions. /liliEnsure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. /liliSupport leadership and project teams by advising on risk allocation, contract management, and dispute resolution strategies. /li /ulpbr/ppstrongQualifications Experience /strong /pulliQualified lawyer with a degree in law and admission to practice in a relevant jurisdiction. /liliAt least five years of post-qualification experience, ideally gained within a leading law firm or the in-house legal team of a company operating in the energy or infrastructure sector. /liliProven experience in drafting, negotiating, and advising on project finance and PPA transactions. /liliStrong understanding of corporate, banking, and regulatory frameworks applicable to large-scale energy and infrastructure projects. /liliExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities. /liliDemonstrated capability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities in a dynamic business environment. /liliFluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills. /li /ulpbr/ppstrongPreferred Attributes /strong /pulliFamiliarity with international financial institutions, including development banks and export credit agencies. /liliExperience managing or advising on cross-border transactions. /liliStrong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills. /liliCommercially minded, with an ability to align legal solutions with business objectives. /li /ul
