Experience QualificationsFully qualified lawyer authorized to practice law in Spain having a Master of Law degree or higher.Ten (10) or more years’ relevant post qualification experience, ideally in an in-house environment preferably in a Construction, Oil Energy, or Renewables Environment sector.Native in Spanish.Fluent in English. Proficient in Microsoft Office.Reporting LineThe role will be part of the Global Legal Department (GLD) and report directly to the Regional Legal Team ( Iberia Italy, Middle East Anglophone Africa Region).Job ResponsibilitiesOversight Delivery. · Delivery of all legal services (directly and using external resource, where approved) for the zone. · Oversight and delivery all legal services in domestic and international bids with a specific focus in commercial contract review, strong collaboration and coordination with the Legal Team in the Country/ Region.· Provide quality and timely legal advice to the business on a day to day basis in areas such as:(a)Leased property matters(b) Competition law(c)General Commercial transactions(d) MA(e)Product and quality issue.· Operate as a valued integral member of the GLD and as a key business partner to provide high quality legal services and strategic legal support and advice. · Negotiate contracts and deals on behalf of the company.· Claims Litigation oversight reporting.Collaboration.· Support transversal activities with local implementation within the zone. · Provide reasonable assistance to other members of the Regions as requested by the Legal Management.· Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.Key AccountabilitiesWork on a wide range of contractual matters to support the local commercial and procurement functions, many of which contain international elements. This will include: · Developing the organization's policies on industry-specific issues, corporate governance or regulatory affairs· Draft and negotiate a variety of contracts including nondisclosure agreements, supplyagreements, purchase agreements, licensing and other software-related or IP agreements, distribution agreements and other commercial agreements.· Review tenders contracts support negotiations.· Prepare template agreements TCs.· Monitor and improve contract compliance with established procedures.· Provide redlined recommendations on contracts.· Work with other teams, such as finance, tax, treasury, insurance, on contractnegotiations and requirements at local level.· Maintain and update contractual records, changes, status reports, and otherInformation.· Involved in the management of pre-litigation situations and ensure the management of disputes and litigation.· Participate in the training activities provided by the LegalOther local legal support as reasonably required by Legal Management.SkillsMust have an in-depth understanding of how an in-house legal department operates a passion for understanding Schneider Electric's businesses facilitating business results.
