Junior Video Systems Engineer (Temporary – Parental Leave Cover)We are looking for a Junior Systems Engineer or advanced student with a strong foundation in computer science and an interest in video technologies to join our team on a temporary basis to cover a parental leave. This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience working on real video systems, collaborating with experienced engineers, and learning in a professional environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist in configuring and testing video encoding and streaming workflows (e.g., H.264, H.265).Help with software integration related to video capture, playback, and processing.Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the service: scalation, updates and security processes.OS Linux administration.Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in video systems.Contribute to internal documentation and support tasks.Collaborate with team members on ongoing video projects.The assistance can be during Dorna live events – 22 weekends per year.Ideal Candidate:Advanced student or recent graduate in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Solid understanding of basic computer science principles: operating systems (Linux), networking, data structures, file systems.Familiarity with video technologies is a plus (e.g., video codecs, streaming protocols like RTMP, HLS or DASH).Interest or experience with tools such as Ffmpeg.Confident in analysis of log data.Some programming experience (e.g., PHP, Python, C++, JavaScript) is desirable.Strong analytical skills, willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently and in a team.What We Offer:A temporary position (3–6 months) – ideal for gaining professional experience while studying or just after graduating.Mentorship and technical support from an experienced engineering team.Hands-on experience with real-world video systems and workflows.A friendly and collaborative work environment.To Apply: Please send your CV and a brief cover letter to mcr.cv@dorna.com.
