We’re looking for someone with a background in journalism and an eye for retail trends—someone who loves digging into data, spotting stories others miss, and creating standout content (think blogs, video scripts, newsletters, and more). You’ll need strong research chops, storytelling flair, and an understanding of how the retail world ticks. Most of our Marketing team is in Málaga, Spain, but we work globally—so don’t let geography stop you.

As a Retail-focused Journalist, you’ll uncover stories that matter—from big box stores to boutique DTC brands. You’ll create content that resonates across the ecommerce landscape, contributes to thought leadership, and helps position Plytix as the voice of authority in retail tech.
What will you be doing?
You’ll be the go-to person for content that dives into retail trends and news. Your work will bridge the gap between industry insights and Plytix’s mission.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
After 1 month:
You’ve completed the Plytix onboarding—including earning your Product Information Management Certificate—and you’re already getting busy with your first projects. You’ll know how the Plytix org is structured and you more or less knows who to pester to get the data and insights you need for your story.
After 3 months:
You’ll be fully up and running—producing sharp, relevant content that speaks to our retail-savvy audience. Your research will go deeper, your stories will hit harder, and your voice will align perfectly with our brand.
6 months in:
By now, you’ll be our retail radar—anticipating trends, breaking down complex topics, and crafting pieces that spark real conversation. You’ll take the lead on bigger projects like case studies, whitepapers, and industry reports that position Plytix as a key player in retail content.
Who you’ll be working with?
You’ll be part of our Content & Marketing team, working closely with fellow content creators, designers, and strategists. You’ll also collaborate with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to make sure our content aligns with company-wide goals.
