HR & Admin Manager - Changan Europe

Position Summary:

Changan Auto Spain is in the start-up phase of establishing its local operations. As the HR & Admin Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building the company’s human resources and administrative systems from the ground up, with guidance and ongoing support from Changan Europe headquarters. This includes setting up compliant HR policies, designing operational processes, managing initial recruitment, and handling all general administrative duties.

You will collaborate closely with the European HR and functional teams to ensure smooth operations and full legal compliance in Spain. This is a unique opportunity to shape the local organization at an early stage and contribute directly to the successful launch and growth of Changan in the Spanish market.

Key Responsibilities

1. Human Resources

  • Establish and implement local HR policies, procedures, and systems, with support from the Europe HR team
  • Lead the recruitment and onboarding process for key positions in Spain
  • Set up employment contracts, payroll coordination, and benefit programs in line with Spanish law
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all employee relations and HR inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with local labor regulations, social security, and tax requirements
  • Align local HR practices with Changan Europe’s overall HR strategy and global standards
  • Maintain accurate employee records and manage local HR systems/tools

2. Administration

  • Build local administrative procedures and manage day-to-day office operations
  • Oversee general administrative services, including vendor management, insurance, utilities, and supplies
  • Handle travel arrangements, work permits/visa processes, and visitor support
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and local reporting requirements
  • Liaise with external providers (legal, IT, payroll, facilities) as needed
  • Support company registration, office setup, and general legal compliance in Spain

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar HR & Admin role, preferably in a multinational or automotive company
  • Proven ability to establish HR and admin functions in a new or growing organization
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish labor laws and HR compliance practices
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable to fast-changing environments
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity
