We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Area General Manager to lead and oversee multiple hotel and serviced apartment properties within a designated region. This strategic role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, optimizing performance, and maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction and brand consistency across all assigned units.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel management, a keen understanding of urban hospitality trends, and the ability to lead multi-site teams in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across assigned properties, ensuring consistent quality, guest satisfaction, and brand standards.
  • Lead and mentor hotel General Managers and their teams to achieve financial and operational goals.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) including occupancy, RevPAR, ADR, GOP, and guest feedback scores.
  • Collaborate with the central office on strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and implementation of corporate initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, legal, and operational regulations and policies.
  • Support expansion plans, including new property openings and integration of new assets into the SmartRental portfolio.
  • Drive a culture of performance, innovation, and service excellence.
  • Liaise with Sales, Marketing, Revenue, and HR departments to ensure alignment with group-wide objectives.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor performance to identify opportunities for improvement or differentiation.

Profile

  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in hotel or hospitality operations management, including multi-property oversight.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree a plus).
  • Proven track record in team leadership, financial management, and delivering operational excellence.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (other languages a plus).
  • Willingness to travel regularly between properties.
