Mantell Associates is currently partnered with a successful pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation who is searching for a General Manager to join their leadership team.General Manager - Responsibilities:Collaborate with the leadership team and functional leaders to develop the annual revenue plan for the site, and establish priorities for future investments to capitalise onDirect the development, growth, and ongoing profitability of the site, ensuring adequate staffing and capabilities to meet customer demand and support business strategies and PL objectivesDrive future growth of the site by actively engaging in Business Development, contributing to RD pipeline development, and executing RD projectsProvide strategic advice and direction to the businessSupport the Business Plan by developing strategic interventions and strategies with the leadership teamDevelop and implement a review and reporting process for the site to evaluate progress against business and budget objectives, and to determine future priorities and resource allocationEnsure the development of appropriate processes for successful and rapid technology transfers, for both feasibility and commercial customer manufacturing operations?General Manager - Requirements:Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant discipline, with a preference for a PhD, and extensive and progressive management experience with a top-tier pharma and/or contract services companyProven experience leading large teamsSuccessful experience and/or exposure to the broader fast-moving production arenaStrong scientific acumen, particularly in pharmaceutical production, with a consultative yet results-oriented approachDemonstrated success in technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others, and independent thoughtAcknowledged expertise and external/internal recognition in a broad area of knowledge, with proven insight into expanding the boundaries of existing knowledgeAnalytical ability, both interpersonal and issue-related, with good judgement, ethics, professional presence, and strong political savvyStrong business acumen and financial skills, with excellent negotiation and contracting skillsMantell Associates is a specialist Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences headhunting firm.
