Job Purpose Senior Flight Operations Engineer responsible for the managing and execution of flight operations computations, supervision, auditing and procedures writing. Main areas of expertise include aircraft performance, weight and balance, route studies, flight planning support and specially Operations Technical Manuals . As part of the flight ops transformation plan, responsible for managing project deadlines and coordinating tasks (E.g.: technical documentation AESA approvals for aircraft inductions projects,…) Main Accountabilities 1) Delivery tasks: Lead and manage the following processes assuring safety standards compliance & deliveries deadlines fulfillment to guarantee that the technical data for the flight crew and ground agents is accurate and ready on time for the execution of the flight: Aircraft performance computation, runway data, airports characteristics and contingency procedures. Weight & Balance computation Verification of the necessary information validity for flight plans and computerized load sheets preparation. Verification of aircraft operation technical manuals (W&B, FCOM, AFM, QRH and MEL) and associated documents (AD, OEB, OIT, FOT, etc.), guaranteeing updates according to applicable regulations. Be responsible for VLG MEL assuring that all workflow meets the deadlines and satisfactorily integrates all requirements. Be responsible for EFB ( Electronic Flight Bag) Sub-administrator role. 2)Supervision tasks (within his/her engineering unit): Plan, coordinate and supervise tasks delegated to the Flight Operations Engineer/s (junior) within the unit assigned. Engage and coach the Juniors Flight Operations Engineer teaching and supporting with the technical items from his/her area of scope to “build the team” required for delivering the tasks described in 1). Drive internal and external (CAA/IOSA) audits, responding to the auditor’s requests being able to provide the right balance of accuracy and guaranteeing the non-compliances resolution ontime. Assess and respond to several engineering inquiries received from suppliers and pilots assuring flight processes related with engineering are clear and requests satisfied. 3) Transformation tasks: Improve engineering tasks and move towards digitally integrated systems being able to remove manual analysis & integrate value and new capabilities into the day-to-day flight ops processes (both for engineers and pilots). E.g.: Be the expert to design, study and integrate FlySmart tool in the EFB for pilots, which completely transform and digitalize specific performance calculations and dramatically increase flight support capabilities. In coordination with the rest of flight ops units, build pillars for the establishment of processes to beat efficiency and robustness targets. E.g.: Optimise new route technical feasibility studies to eliminate some internal steps and move forward delivery of results.
