Facility/Program: Vita Medical Clinic - Vita & District Health Centre Location: Vita Position Type: Full-Time FTE: 1.0 Hours of Work: Various Shift(s): Days Union: Non-Union Start Date: To be determined Position Summary Southern Health-Santé Sud is currently looking for a 1.0 EFT Family Physician to provide services in Vita Manitoba. This would involve providing primary care coverage at the Clinic and on-call coverage for the Personal Care Home (44 bed) & Hospital (10 bed). Vita is located in the southeastern part of Manitoba, just over a half hour drive from Steinbach. This community has a proud Ukrainian heritage and actively promotes preserving this. The community holds many businesses including a grocery store, a pharmacy, a credit union, a fuel station, a liquor store, a hotel, and restaurants. Vita has a community day care and the local school offers classes from Kindergarten to Grade 12. More shopping options can be found a short 30 minutes away in the larger community of Steinbach. For recreation, Vita offers numerous options for year-round enjoyment. Each summer, Vita and neighbouring communities host Canada Day Celebrations, Ukrainian Festival each July in Gardenton (10 minutes west), Fishing, Canoeing along the Roseau River, Summer Camp for Kids at the Roseau River Bible Camp (30 minutes west), and baseball tournaments all summer. Winter sports include ice skating and curling. Qualifications Must be eligible for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
