pFrom strongASTEK Iberia /strong, and for our international partner's team, we are looking for a motivated and experienced uControl Engineer /uem who has a taste for Chemical Engineering /em, or a uChemical Engineer /u emwith a taste for Control Engineering /em, to join our Optimization team in Madrid. /ppbr/ppYou will evolve in an international environment and with the global leader in engineering and industrial software. /ppbr/ppuPrincipal Accountabilities /u /pulliuReal Time Optimization (RTO) application implementations /u /li /ulpParticipation in new online modeling projects with the intention of developing skills for advancement. Participation would include engineering studies for analysis, specification, design of new applications and development of the application itself. /ppbr/pulliuMaintenance of RTO applications /u /li /ulpEnsure that customer online process models remain online and functioning at greater than 95% of the time that operation is feasible. /ppPerform routine maintenance on online models making adjustments in tag names and model structure so that the model remains synchronized to the plant. /ppbr/pulliuCustomer Consultancy /u /li /ulpMaintain a trusted partner relationship with customers by focusing on returning maximum value to the customer from the installed system. This includes consultancy to the customer and proactive involvement in the user of the system. /ppEngagement with the other members of the optimisation team in order to improve the quality and timeliness of the implementation projects, and also the value of the delivered applications. We are interested in expanding the use of our online modeling and optimisation technology into new areas as well as applying it in new ways in existing applications. /ppbr/ppuKnowledge, Skills and Experience Required /u /ppuEssential Skills and experience: /u /pulliDegree in Control Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar /liliAn understanding of the unit operations used in chemical plants and refineries /liliExperience in simulating distillation towers, compressors and expanders, heat /li /ulpintegrated systems and refinery conversion units /pulliAbility to analyse and understand process simulation results /liliStrong problem-solving skills /liliProficiency in using computers and computer applications /liliExcellent communication skills, both oral and written /liliWilling to allocate around 30 percent of your time to travel /liliFluency in English /li /ulpbr/ppuDesirable (but not essential) Skills: /u /pulliKnowledge of process control, especially optimization based on model predictive /lilicontrol is a plus /liliExperience in communication through windows networks and between different /lilisystems (eg OPC protocol) is a plus /liliProficiency on Visual Basic for Excel, SQL queries and scripting languages such as TCL is a plus /liliAdditional languages including German, French and Russian would be a benefit /li /ulpbr/ppemPhD and/or 3-4 years relevant experience are valued. /em /ppbr/ppbr/ppIf you are feel you can fit, and you are interested to know more about the offer, just apply enclosing your strongemudetailed CV in English /u /em /strong, or write us to and /ppbr/ppWe'll be glad to speak with you about this great opportunity ASAP! /p
