Administration and Finance assistant - Open Evidence

Open Evidence is a small and dynamic company combining behavioural analysis, policy analysis and big data analytics for both public sector and private sector clients. We work in domains such as health, digitalisation, innovation, customer care, evaluation and impact assessment, consumers policy and other public policies, mainly for European institutions.

The company is constituted by 20 employees distributed between two offices situated in Milan and Barcelona. We are expanding our operations and are looking for a Administration and Finance assistant to be based in Barcelona.

Job responsibilities

  • Liaising with accounting firm for proper accounting of clients, professional suppliers, personnel costs, financial costs, capital expenditure, tax management and tax returns preparation.
  • Liaising with payroll firm for salary and compensation processing.
  • Financial management (payments from clients, credit collection, payments to suppliers).
  • Relationships with banks and management of credit lines.
  • Tenders administrative support.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • HR database management, recruitment process for new candidates.
  • Help managing office supplies and security.

Qualifications and skills requirements:

  • This role is open to new college graduates willing to join a fast-paced company.
  • Degree in Business administration, Accounting or Finance.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Applicants must have a professional working proficiency in English and Italian.
  • Organisational and coordination skills, including time management and multi-tasking.
  • EU work permit.

Starting date first or second week of December
