The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and executing complex accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing general ledger activities, and supporting audits. The Senior Accountant collaborates with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, streamline processes, and drive strategic decision-making. Additionally, the role ensures adherence to internal controls, tax regulations, and company policies while mentoring junior staff to foster a high-performing accounting team Participate to the monthly closings, process, making sure it’s agile, timely and reliable Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and analyze variances Be responsible for Inter-company balances and reconciliation Optimizes the accounting process automation via ERP and support financial reporting with data-science orientation Prepare Tax returns and ensuring timely payments. Supports yearly external audits for Recover’s legal entities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide financial insights and support. 5-10 years’ experience in accounting Bachelor’s degree in Business / accounting / administration / Finance Deep knowledge of PGC - Spanish accounting standards. Expertise with Microsoft Excel. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365FO is a plus. Fluent in English (written and spoken). The Accounting Department is responsible for overseeing the financial health and compliance of the organization. Preparing accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheets, income statements) to provide insights into the company’s performance for stakeholders. Transaction Processing : Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries to ensure smooth financial operations. Compliance and Risk Management : Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, tax laws, and internal policies while mitigating financial risks through robust internal controls. Audit Support : Coordinating with internal and external auditors to facilitate reviews and maintain transparency in financial reporting.
