As part of our client's growth strategy, and with the aim of being a pro-active sales organization and to increase flexibility in the location of our manufacturing activities, they are currently opening a robust and independent commercial center in Madrid which will serve as strategic hub for commercial operations globally. As part of this exciting strategic journey of expansion of the company, our client is looking for a Senior Accountant located in Madrid (Spain). Reporting to the Finance Manager at Group level, this role will join our Finance team in Madrid (Spain). The Senior Accountant, will lead all accounting operations, assuring the accuracy of our financial records, compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations and taking ownership of the tasks and issues related to the accounting function. FUNCTIONAL CONTENT The Senior Accountant will be responsible for: Managing Bank reconciliations Reporting VAT and tax to Spanish authorities Ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations Taking ownership of the tasks and issues related to the accounting function and nearby administrative areas Oversighting payroll payments (being Payroll services outsourced) Using daily Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting certification (e.g., Strong knowledge of Spanish accounting and tax legislation Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting position Proven experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in an international environment Proficiency in Spanish ~ Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
